Last year, more than 10,000 people came to Montana’s capitol in the bitter cold to stand for women’s rights, equality for people of all ethnic backgrounds and religions, LGBTQ rights, access to affordable health insurance and health care, protection for public lands, and for democracy.
This powerful moment gave us the chance to unite and see how many other people were concerned about the future of our country.
This year, we want to repeat the excitement of coming together -- and connect marchers with local organizations who are already doing great work in the Flathead Valley.
Speakers (subject to change) include Jennifer Allen, Susan Cahill, Helen Weems, Hilary Shaw and more.
There is no official women’s march in a single location in Montana. Instead, there are Women’s Marches in several different towns, sending the message that a call for equality, diversity and democracy cannot be contained to one place -- it’s everywhere!
This is a free event! Bring the whole family, but please leave your four-pawed family members behind. The rally is Noon - 2pm, with speeches starting at 12:30pm. Please remember to dress warmly!
