Love Lives Here Hosts Flat Out Pride on June 7
Love Lives Here Hosts Flat Out Pride to Support Local LGBTQ+ Community
Social night at Kalispell Brewing Company celebrates LGBTQ+ equality
It's been a long time since the Flathead Valley had a Pride party, so we're throwing one!
LGBTQ Pride month will have a fantastic kick-off in the Flathead Valley with Flat Out Pride, a social night from 5-8pm on June 7 at Kalispell Brewing Company, 412 S Main St.! Love Lives Here is sponsoring this evening for our LGBTQ+ community members and allies to celebrate diversity and acceptance in the Flathead Valley.
The party will take place on the second story and balcony of Kalispell Brewing company. Guests can order their own beverages from the brewery, but snacks will be provided.
“We realized that there is a real need in the Flathead Valley for gender diverse adults to have a way to connect with each other,” said Jamie Souder of Love Lives Here. “This event gives LGBTQ+ individuals the chance to come together, and it gives the whole community the chance to celebrate Pride.”
Flat Out Pride is happening a week before the statewide Pride event in Helena. Big Sky Pride takes place from June 14-16, with the crowning event, the Pride parade, scheduled for 11am on Saturday, June 16.
LGBT Pride Month is celebrated in June in honor of the Stonewall Riots in New York City in 1969, which were a tipping point for LGBT rights across the nation. Many communities celebrate LGBTQ+ history and equality with special events, including speakers, educational presentations, and parades.
